Coach by day, writer after bedtime

I’m Daniëlle. I coach women through pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause at ActiveWomen, the business I started after my first baby. This blog is where everything else goes: the school forms, the bedtime battles, the in-between life. Written once the kids are (mostly) asleep.

Field Notes

The recent, the unfinished, and the occasionally overshare.

The book, if you want the longer version

Strength Through the Messy & Beyond — real-life strength training for preconception through perimenopause. Not a 12-week transformation plan. A guide for the actual stages a woman’s body goes through — trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, deep in perimenopause fog, or anywhere in between — written for training that fits around a changing body and a messy life, not the other way around.

Who it’s for: any woman whose training plan needs to survive contact with real life — sleep deprivation, hormones, a toddler on your hip, a body that isn’t doing what it used to. If a fitness book has ever made you feel behind, this one’s the opposite of that.
